I f you've been to Talicud Island lately, looking for the best yet affordable beach in Samal, you have been pleasantly surprised to find Dayang Beach Resort back in its operation after they rest in business for almost five years.
Not to worry! This Dayang Beach Resort is still the same, though it has come with a more sophisticated look with higher - rated customer service.
Before Dayang Beach Resort is a private family - owned beach resort but the owner can't say NO to guest that keep coming back to this beach resort as one of their favorite beaches in Samal Island so they decided to make this beach resort open to the public.
When I got the chance to ask the owner if they have plans for more developments - they want to develop their beach resort without destroying the beauty of nature though some are human - made, but still it looks natural. They are planning to put up a restaurant so guests will not have to worry about their foods. If that plan happens, they will be hiring working students who want an extra income during their free time.
Perhaps, the best thing about Dayang Beach Resort is you got the right treatment with security like a princess. Dayang means in Muslim tradition as Princess. And it will surely make you feel at ease when being entertained as such even though it's the first meeting.

my friends and I are planning to go to Dayang this weekend ! meh so excited!haha
according to a little bird, only 1 ferryboat travels going to the island at 1 pm then another one going back to the city at 7 am the next day.
my cp 09094586728
The beach is absolutely amazing! The sand is white. the water is crystal clear. with a great view of Mt. Apo.
Entrance fee: P10
Rooms:
Duplex, one is good for 6 (P1000) and the other is good for 5 (P800). 4 small huts good for 4 each (P500).
There's a sari-sari store but no resto/canteen. You could have meals cooked by the staff there. You can cook them yourselves. As far as i know there are no corkages.
There is no clean running water (sea water runs in the bathrooms). A 5 gallon container of fresh water can be purchased at only P20 for baths, etc.
There is a boat that leaves Sta. Ana pier, named "J N Rey" and it leaves at 1:30 pm and goes straight to Dayang. The same vessel leaves Dayang at 7 a.m. It travels daily except Sundays.
