It is located on the small Ligid island. It can be reached within an hour from Davao city. From Ana Marina, the guests will be using a boat to come across the island for 10 minutes. The island is owned by the Ayala Family. It is used as their private hideaway. Recently, it was open for the public. People who can afford can visit the island and enjoy the day.

The island is declared as marine protected area and it is great for snorkeling. This is one of the reasons Island Buenavista are continuously visited every year.

Island Buenavista has a long buffet table in the Pavilion offers fresh seafood, pork, chicken, barbecue, hito, and other native dishes plus a newly opened buko juice served with straw. Some exotic foods like sea urchins dipped in vinegar, “sea roaches” delectably tasty like peanuts which you can chew, funny shaped oyster shells which locals amusingly call bilatbato.

You can relax and enjoy the comfort of airconditioned villas, open beach huts, suits and swimming pool. People also can sleep bare naked on the shore.

The Buenavista Island vacation concept is..."owning an island for a day or a night or for a weekend"...exclusively booked for two or for your group and no one else. The cottages are not rented out individually, you rent out the entire island. The maximum capacity for overnight stay is 35 persons and for a day tour, 50 persons.
