Canibad Beach Resort in Barangay Aundanao Samal Island is a great place to go if you want to get away from the noise of honking vehicle and stressful life in the city. It is just a few minutes ride from Davao City plus a 10 minute walk downhill before you reach the Canibad Cove with white sand and irresistible cool splashing water. It is one of the beach resorts which is less developed, guests should not expect to perceive classy restaurants and air-conditioned rooms. For those who want to stay overnight at the beach, it is advisable to bring a tent with you, cottages are also available for around P200 pesos per night. Since there are no restaurants in the resort, cooking your own food in designated areas is a good idea. Despite the simplicity of the place, guests who love to take pictures will not be disappointed. bring tents at your own risks.
walang rooms doon. 30min to 50mins ata ang traveling time via land transpo.

people their are very hospitable and they were the one who cooked our rice.

downhill is really fun. you guys should try going to canibad. 10/10 rating

bale po 25 and entrance... 50 ang bayad sa magdadala ng tent.. and yung papunta dun you can either ride a bus from sta. ana/magsaysay to penaplate/warehouse for 35 pesos then mula sa warehouse sakay ulit ng motor for 60 pesos. or contrata kayo ng multicab (mas safe kung mag multicab kayo kaso kailangan madami kayo para maka mura).

note" meron na po kuryente dun kaso generator nga lang... sa may centro lang ang may electricity and the rest of the place is pitch black at night.

One of the best beaches I've ever been to. If you guys just want to relax, away from the noise of the city, then this is the place. It just gets pretty crowded during holy week.The water is clean and clear. I suggest you bring your snorkels and goggles because you'll see a lot of lil fishes swimming. There's no electricity there, well some areas do with the use of generator.Don't expect for any pampering services, because Canibad is not a commercial resort.If you're "maarte", then I think this is not the place for you. Don't forget to bring your food going there. You'll be the one to cook you're food, so don't forget to bring gas, coal, your plates, food, plenty of water, etc. If you smoke, I guess it's hard to find Marlboro or other good brands of cigarettes there. So bring your own cigs.The whole stretch of Canibad is not owned by one person, that's why rates differ with regards to the rooms, cottages, entrance, etc.

Well it depends upon the size. may mga malalaking open cottages don, pwede na 15 people. Ang iba sa open cottages na natutulog. may mga kubo don, pwede mga 3-4 people. Pwede na rin kayo magtent. karamihan don nagtetent eh or sleeping bags - just make sure di rainy season if sleeping bags kayo.

There are no beds provided. dala na lang kayo ng pwede niyo higaan.

The whole stretch of Canibad is not owned by one person, that's why rates differ with regards to the rooms, cottages, entrance, etc. The last time I went there, the entrance was only 35 pesos per head and the cottage was 200 plus. That was April 2009 rate.

Well it's pretty easy going to Canibad. In Davao City, go to Sasa Public Market. From there, go inside until you reach the end part of the market (you will see the sea). Then ride a pumpboat (lantsa in Davao) going to Bak-bak Samal. From there a lot of guys will ask you if you are going to Canibad, if you want to rent a jeepney, etc. If you're a big group then I would suggest you ride a multicab going to Canibad. If it's just a few of you, you can ride the motorcycle. It's bumpy going to Canibad. Don't forget to get the contact number of the driver so if ever you're planning to go back to the city, you can just text them to pick you up.

So far, di naman kami nanakawan or namugged or whatsoever don. For me, it's pretty much safe. Minsan sa sleeping bag pa nga kami natutulog. But of course, just to be sure na lang rin, bring some padlocks for your bags. Walang security guards don.

Janice: Hi there. Sorry if it took so long for me to respond to your question. If you have a vehicle, then you can go to Sasa. You can just ask people there where is the barge going to Samal. From there, you can ask some people how to get to Canibad. I'm sorry I can't give you exact details on how to get there from Samal pier cause I don't drive. Anyway they have parking space there. It's actually at the top of the cliff (I think it's a cliff), and you have to walk down the cliff in order for you to reach the beach.

maganda tlga sa canibad pero di mxado sa na develpo ang entrance feee doon iba iba kase walng nag mamay ari ng resort meon 10 pesos at 5 pesos ang cotteges nila 200 to 400 good for 20 persons kung ala kaung sasakyan papunta sa canibad resort wag nlng kaung pumunta kasi walang bus doon na duma daan tapos very rocky road ang daan
kung papunta pa kau dis apointed kau pero pag dating nyosa beach mawawala ang disappointment nyo sa ganda ng beach walang katulad ang canibad resort........
kung palno nyo mag overnight doon kailangan tlga magdala ng tent at emergency light kase walang kuryente doon at walang tubig
safe ka mag overnight doon kase maraming tao doon

Hi guys. Actually, my family and I are gonna have vacation in the Philippines next year. I haven't seen my friends for a long long time so I want to bond w/ them, I think we're gonna be at least 20-30 people. And I want to stay there overnight so I want to know how many people can a cottage hold, and how much will it be overall. (Including entrance fee) Please reply :) I chose this one 'cause it's seems fun, interesting, and relaxing :)
